Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon

Hinzufügen folgender Zeile zu den Paketquellen über die Synaptic-Paketverwaltung "Einstellungen > Paketquellen > Software von Drittanbietern":

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu feisty-commercial main

Danach kann der Real Player (Paket "realplay") über die Synaptic-Paketverwaltung installiert werden.

Danach Konfiguration des Real Player.

Anstatt des Real Player 10 hätte auch das Open Source-Produkt Helix Player 1.0 (im Paket "helix-player") installiert werden können, das allerdings nicht alle Real Player-Funktionen unterstützt. Der Real Player 10 setzt auf dem Helix Player auf und erweitert diesen um Unterstützung für Real Audio, Real Video, MP3, Flash und RTSP via RDT.
