Das Hardwareprotokoll Small Computer System Interface / SCSI dient der Kommunikation mit SCSI-Geräten und wird auch von Fibre Channel zur Kommunikation mit Festplatten eingesetzt. Es können gleichzeitig bis zu 15 Geräte angesteuert werden.
Eine preisgünstigere Variane ist ISCSI.
