| Der Lehrer <b>Reto Borer</b> begann in den 1980er Jahren unter dem Namen <b>Beau Katzman</b> in Reinach / BL einen Schülerchor zu leiten. Einen ersten Hit hatte er mit dem Lied "Typewriter".

| Eine durchschnittliche Popplatte lieferte Bo Katzman mit <i>Seven days</i> (1988) ab, worauf auch Musiker wie [[Curt Cress]], [[Ken Taylor]], [[Peter Keiser]] und Felix Hohl zu hören waren.

| Mit dem Weihnachtsalbum <i>White nights</i> (1995) zeigte Bo endlich sein wahres Gesicht: er ist der Schweizer Cliff Richard. Immerhin vermochte er für seine Band den legendären Pianisten <b>Robert "Blues" Müller</b> (ex-[[Terry and the Hot Sox]]) zu verpflichten. Musikalisch ist das Ganze leider nicht die Rede wert. An seiner fünften Platte, dem Gospelalbum <i>Miracles</i> (1996), wirkten über 200 Sänger und Sängerinnen mit. Hauptsache Chörli, wie es scheint - die Wiedergeburt der schrecklichen Hawkins Singers.

| Ende der 1990er Jahre ist er noch immer mit seinem 200köpfigen Laien-Chor unterwegs (angeblich der grösste Gospel-Chor Europas). Er spielt vorzugsweise zur Weihnachtszeit und war 1997 an den Adventssonntagen im Schweizer Fernsehen zu bewundern.

| Bo Katzman hält zusammen mit Edgar Lehmann Anteile an der Musikfirma Katzmusic AG. Seit 1998 wohnt er in Dornach / SO.
