Internet Group Multicast Protocol
Das Internet Group Multicast Protocol / IGMP ist ein Netzwerkprotokoll der Internetprotokollfamilie und dient zur Organisation von Multicast-Gruppen. IGMP benutzt wie ICMP das Internet Protocol und ist integraler Bestandteil von IP auf allen Hostrechnern, die den Empfang von IP-Multicasts unterstützen.
