Die American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers / ASCAP in New York ist die älteste Verwertungsgesellschaft der USA. Sie wurde am 13. Februar 1914 gegründet und beherrschte vor der Gründung des Konkurrenzunternehmens Broadcast Music im Jahre 1941 den US-amerikanischen Musikmarkt.
