Das Dateiformat XVO enthält die extrahierte komprimierte Datei der Containerformate Ratdvd und Fluxdvd. Vermutlich handelt es sich dabei um das DVD-Video MPEG-2-Format mit einigen Anpassungen.

Im Internet war zum Format RatDVD folgende Aussage zu finden:

RatDVD is about click-and-go, i. e. it's the idiot's solution to DVD warez. It results in larger files and lower quality than you'll get with a proper DVDrip, so no one serious is interested in using it and whatever you find as a RatDVD file on BT or whatever warez system you use, you can find better copies as a plain mpeg4 avi file...
