Thick 12mo. Original wrappers. ]There was no Hardcover] Lightly used else a very good copy, evenly toned & well preserved, of this very important book. Inscribed on the dedication page to leading literary figure, George Reavey. Editor, Translator of the Russians, owner of Pan-Europa Press, Samuel Beckett's agent & good friend, connected to Joyce & considered the Pre-eminent Surrealist Publisher with close ties to the Avant-Garde of French literature, Celine, certainly one of the most notable. Someone (Reavey?) has drawn in pencil a fine hand on the last page of text. A Cornerstone of Modern World Literature. (The publication of this work in 1932, had an immediate impact on Henry Millar/Tropic of Cancer,1934 - Orwell/Down and Out in Paris and London/1935 - Henry Green & many others.
