Charlotte Gainsbourg is the daughter of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. She has been an actress since 1984 and has played in many movies, among them The cement garden (1992) and La bûche (1999). She has also recorded two albums: Charlotte forever (1986) with her father, and 5:55 (2006).
She lives with the actor Yvan Attal, with whom she has two children, one of them named Ben (born 1997).
